Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic releases Land-Linking report for RIFPC

The attached report – “Rhode Island Land-Linking Program: Background Research and Policy Analysis”, is the first study completed under a partnership between the Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic and the RIFPC.  The ongoing project involves Harvard Law students assisting the Council to research and better understand key policy issues affecting Rhode Island’s food system.

This first report assesses the current landscape of land access in Rhode Island and offers recommendations for implementing a land-linking program in RI in order to address high land costs and limited land availability – both barriers to one of the RIFPC’s long-term Goals:  Increased Production and Demand for RI-Grown Food.
