The Network Leadership Insitute, made possible with generous support of the Angell Foundation, involves three multi-day gatherings from September through January in three different locations around the region. This week, the groups kicks things off in Vermont at Ohana Camp. In November they’ll be convening in downtown Portland, Maine for a more urban experience. In January, the group moves to Hartford, Connecticut for its final gathering. Skill-building, connecting and trainings are all on the docket, covering everything from facilitative leadership, food justics & equity, understanding and levering networks and much more.
Centering the FSNE network values of racial equity & dignity for all, trust, democratic empowerment and sustainability plays a central role in the Institute’s work.
The Food Solutions New England network’s “backbone staff” based at the UNH Sustainability Institute are joined by Haas Professors and FSNE network participants Karen Spiller (KAS Consulting) and Curtis Ogden (Interaction Institute for Social Change) in coordinating and leading the sessions for this year’s cohort.
