FSNE Winter Series Week 3: Visionary Food Policy

Online

As we grapple with pandemic disruptions and political polarization, reckon with emboldened white supremacy, and face ever-growing challenges from the climate crisis, the importance of standing firm in a commitment to racial equity and justice in our food system is growing. How does racial equity connect to the work for resilient food systems? What does it look like in our communities and institutions? How can we advance multi-racial movement for justice? What does this mean for BIPOC and white agents of change? What are some of the opportunities we can lean into now?

FSNE Winter Series Week 4: Narrative Strategy for Food System Transformation

Online

As we work to center democracy, racial equity, sustainability and trust in our food system, the stories we tell really matter. How can we better understand the power of the dominant cultural narratives around food that do not serve the people and places where we live? How might we displace those dominant narratives with stories that genuinely connect with values that people hold around democratic decision-making, power sharing & shifting, and sustainability in all its ecological, economic and cultural forms?
