Policy matters. Elections matter. All our work to build a stronger, healthier and more just food system could be for nought if our efforts are not made more durable through policy and law.
It has been several months since FSNE co-hosted the Food Solutions Forum at UNH in Durham, New Hampshire last fall in order to hear from our community and from presidential candidates about farm, food and fisheries priorities and to share learnings and findings with one another. We were honored to be among so many amazing collaborators, stretching our collective advocacy muscles which, contrary to popular belief, can absolutely be undertaken by 501c3 organizations within certain parameters. We especially appreciate the guidance provided by Bolder Advocacy so that we all fully understood those parameters.
In the spirit of cooperative efforts, the team that helped organize the Forum created an extensive Overview & Toolkit document that you can use to learn about the event and be empowered to organize your own forum, even if it’s virtual!
