The 21-Day Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge Spreads Across the Country

It’s been four months since FSNE hosted its most “attended” 21-Day Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge, with more than 7,000 participants and more than 650 officially participating organizations, businesses and groups. Initially inspired by the work and writings of Debby Irving, Dr. Eddie Moore Jr. and Dr. Marguerite Penick-Parks, the FSNE version of the Challenge “came off the page” and took an interactive and digital form, accessible by anyone using the internet (in English; we are hoping to offer it in additional languages in the future).

We are humbled and honored by the many expressions of the Challenge that were, in turn, inspired by the FSNE version of the Challenge. In particular, various United Way and YWCA organizations have adapted and embraced this approach and are offering it to thousands in their own communities.

FSNE will be hosting an updated version of the 21-Day Racial Equity Habit-Building Challenge in April of 2021. In the meantime, learn more about the Challenge here. All 2020 materials are available for use throughout the year on a schedule that works for you or your organization.
